From Farmers Markets to a Local Favorite: Lake City Juice

A Healthy Passion

Owner, Callie Kellogg

Lake City Juice. A testament to hard work, passion, and a love for health and community. At the helm is Callie Kellogg, a Coeur d’Alene native whose journey with juicing began over twenty years ago in the kitchen with her mom. Though it's just her now, that early love for creating fresh, vibrant juices has grown into a thriving small business that's quickly become a local favorite.

Before launching Lake City Juice over three and a half years ago, Callie spent many years managing restaurants and businesses throughout town, building the skills and confidence that would eventually lead her to strike out on her own. A decision a lot of people in town are now thankful for.

The Story Behind The Juicer

Lake City Juice started humbly, in a food truck up in Sandpoint. From there, Callie hustled her way down to Coeur d’Alene, selling her juices at farmers markets and offering deliveries. That dedication eventually paved the way for her brick-and-mortar store, where she now juices 8 to 10 hours a day, crafting every blend from scratch.

"Running a small business is hard work, but it’s worth it," Callie says. "You have to love it. The passion is what will drive you."

And that passion shows in everything she does. From smoothies and cold-pressed juices to juice cleanses, breakfast foods like bagels and waffles, protein balls, and even freeze-dried fruits & veggies—everything at Lake City Juice is gluten-free, vegan, and made with care. Nearly all ingredients are organic, and no sugar is added to the juices or smoothies. Callie also goes the extra mile by soaking all her produce in water, organic or not, to ensure the cleanest final product.

The Fruits of One's Labor

Callie’s favorite part of the business? “The people I get to meet and help,” she says. She’s not just serving drinks; she’s fostering a wellness community. Many of her ingredients come from local farmers markets or even friends, and she’s known for giving out discounts and supporting those around her.

Despite the long hours and challenges like finding truly high-quality produce, Callie remains grounded in her mission: to provide Coeur d’Alene with one of the healthiest options in town. And with a repeat rate of 80% for her juice cleanses, it’s clear she’s making an impact.

Now with a little help from her mom, Callie continues to grow Lake City Juice with the same integrity and enthusiasm that brought her this far. Her dedication to transparency, quality, and making her products rich with natural proteins has earned her a loyal customer base and a well-deserved reputation as a local gem.
