Join Anam Cara's resident witch, Mikayla Daniels as she guides you through some of her favorite witchy rituals to celebrate Samhain.
A little spell work, a little spirit work, some dancing barefoot, all to help ring in the thinning veil.
Samhain is considered the Celtic New Year and a liminal time when the boundary between the living and the spirit worlds was believed to thin, allowing for interaction with ancestors and spirits. The festival usually involved bonfires, feasts, divination, and costumes to ward off spirits. Samhain is considered the origin of modern Halloween traditions, like trick-or-treating and Jack-o'-lanterns.
Mikayla got into Witchcraft as a teenager but didn't start her serious practice until she turned 30. For the last 16 years she has focused on the art of Witchcraft and the deep dives into the practice. Since she was old enough to read, she has been drawn to Samhain/Halloween and it has always been her favorite holiday.
Come hang with Mikayla and take part in some of these fun rituals to honor the season.
