We’re excited to introduce Wild Folk Play Group — a nature-based gathering for children and their parents/guardians to explore and play in community. We’re nurturing a space for curiosity, connection, and belonging, where children can build relationship with the natural world, themselves, and one another.
This offering is designed with a gentle rhythm in mind. We’ll begin each gathering in circle with a warm welcome, simple introductions, and a shared space of movement, song, or music. From there, we’ll transition into our primary activity, always rooted in the natural world. Activities may include outdoor games, nature mandalas, flower pressing, plant identification, learning life cycles, rock painting, and other earth-based creative explorations. While we hold to the overall routine, there is always space for choice. Alternative activities and unstructured play will be available for children who feel called in a different direction. We will close each gathering together with a simple, grounding moment to honor our time and connection before parting.
This is a parent/guardian-attended play group, and we invite caregivers to be present and engaged alongside their children.
This offering is donation-based (please RSVP in advance when possible so we know who to expect!), with a suggested contribution per family. We aim to keep this space accessible, while also encouraging reciprocity to support the time, care, and materials that go into each gathering.
Please come prepared with clothing appropriate for our time outside, snacks/water, and anything specific your family needs to stay comfortable!
