Wild Medicinal Plant Walk

  • 218 North Monroe Street Spokane, WA, 99201 United States (map)

From the tallest tree to the deepest root, medicinal plants surround us. Join Suzanne Tabert for a fascinating Wild Medicinal Plant Walk where we’ll explore flowering plants, deciduous trees, conifers, and ferns across diverse ecosystems.

Open your eyes to the food and medicine abundant in nature! With Suzanne’s decades long experience in teaching plant medicine, she’ll demystify plant identification, ensuring you learn how to achieve 110% positive ID and recognize poisonous look-alikes common to the area. Discover the crucial roles of pioneer plants in the ecosystem, and gain essential rules for ethical wild harvesting. You’ll learn the medicinal and nutritional benefits of these plants, understanding how and why they work on a physiological level within the human body, enabling safe and effective use for family, friends, and clients.

The walk includes discussions on where and when to legally harvest for optimum vitality and potency, and how to begin formulating effective remedies by observing plants that thrive in community. It’s an “all plants, all day” adventure, perfect for both beginners new to nature’s medicine and experienced individuals seeking to deepen their knowledge. Please note that this is plant walk only, there will be no harvesting at the preserve.
