Music: Meet local musician, Adam Foote

If you've been to local events, you may have heard some lovely handpan music by Couer d’ Alene musician Adam Foote. With over 2.9 million subscribers currently enjoying his relaxing rhythms, it raises the question: why aren’t you?

Admirable fact: Adam Foote used to be self-conscious about looking homeless until a woman approached him during one of his street performances. Initially, she asked Adam where he was staying for the night, which offended him due to her assumption about his living status-until he overheard her on the phone asking to stay on a friend’s couch. In that moment, he realized she was the one down on their luck and that she had probably been looking for guidance just moments ago. So, Adam then gave the woman in need the money he had earned that day, changing his perspective of himself as he understood that his appearance made people going through rough times feel safe to engage with him-something everybody needs from time to time.
