Meet Sherilyn Long - Master Herbalist, Life Coach, and Massage Therapist

By Hayden Hudiburg

A sanctuary of healing. That is what Sherilyn Long has created with her work. As a Master Herbalist, Licensed Massage Therapist, and certified hypnotist, Sherilyn is the heart and soul behind Idaho Therapeutic Massage. A practice that combines ancient herbal traditions with modern therapeutic techniques to address the deeper roots of pain, stress, and chronic illness.

Sherilyn’s journey into holistic health began in 2010, sparked by her own struggles with brain fog, chronic fatigue, and inflammation. Seeking answers when conventional approaches fell short, she turned to herbalism and massage, discovering not only profound healing for herself but a deep calling to support others on similar paths.

“I wanted to feel seen and heard,” she shares. “And now, that’s what I offer my clients. A space where they can feel understood, supported, and empowered.”

Holistically Unique

Sherilyn primarily works with women and treats a wide range of conditions, including chronic inflammation, autoimmune disorders, breast implant illness, Parkinson’s disease, and much more.

One of her unique ways of treating these conditions is by integrating traditional massage with hot towels soaked in the herb of the day, which she carefully selects and introduces to her clients. On top of this she offers custom wellness plans, herbal remedies, and education, empowering her clients to take charge of their health.

She also offers hypnotherapy, addressing the mind-body connection and helping clients shift patterns of stress, trauma, and self-limiting beliefs. “Stress can lead to physical symptoms,” Sherilyn says, “so I treat the whole person, body, mind, and spirit.”

Creative Compassion

What truly sets Sherilyn apart is her creativity and her passion for making people feel seen and heard. Whether through her intuitive touch, the herbs she selects, or the conversations she has with her clients, she brings warmth and authenticity to every session.

She even extends her creative spirit into writing, authoring a set of seasonal journals for autumn, winter, and spring. These books are designed to complement her services, helping clients align with nature's rhythms and deepen their healing journey through reflection and self-care. That's why with over a decade of experience, a heart full of compassion, and hands trained in healing, Sherilyn Long continues to transform lives, one herbal towel, one therapeutic touch, and one heartfelt connection at a time.

Two Quick, Fun Facts

When she's not in the office, Sherilyn loves unwinding at Café Carambola, her favorite local spot to eat.

While she loves almost every aspect of her work, Sherilyn admits the only challenge she faces is upholding her cancellation policy, which she enforces to respect the flow of her business, though she always makes exceptions for clients who are sick.
