Artist: Snatam Kaur Khalsa

Snatam Kaur Khalsa (born June 19, 1972, in Trinidad, Colorado) is an American singer, peace activist, and author renowned for her performances of new-age Indian devotional music, particularly kirtan. Her musical journey started in childhood, influenced by her mother, Prabhu Nam Kaur, who studied kirtan in India. Soom Snatam learned how to play the violin and began songwriting during her high school years. Further deepening her understanding of Sikh devotional music by studying in India. Over the years, Snatam has transformed traditional Sikh chants into contemporary sounds, making them accessible to a global audience. She has released several albums, including "Prem" (2002), "Shanti" (2003), and "Grace" (2004). Beyond her musical endeavors, Snatam is dedicated to teaching and sharing Naad Yoga and Kundalini Yoga through concerts, workshops, and her writings, such as her book "Original Light: The Morning Practice of Kundalini Yoga." Her work aims to provide tools for individuals to experience inner peace and healing.
